Description

Solicitation Number N00421-02-T-0072 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This action is not set aside for small business. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed Purchase Order for SATCOM ANTENNAS on a sole source basis with TRIVEC-AVANT CORPORATION, 17831 Jamestown Lane, Huntington Beach, CA 92647, for the part number listed below, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. Only Trivec-Avant Corporation, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), is capable of providing the AV2075-8 SATCOM Antenna that will ensure full mission interoperability with existing antennas necessary to maintain current communication standards. The Trivec-Avant Model AV2075-8, approved by the sponsor, is designed to meet minimum project requirements. The contract line item number and description is ** CLIN 0001, SATCOM ANTENNA (P/N: AV2075-8 ) QTY OF 5. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, responsible interested parties may submit information in which they identify their interest and capability. Quote is due to Rosa Harding, Contract Specialist, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Building 8110, Unit 11, Villa Rd., St. Inigoes, MD 20684-0010 by 4:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, 3 June 2002. All quotes received by 4:00P.M. Eastern Standard Time, 3 June 2002, will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received.
