Description

MANAGED CARE SERVICES, SOL N/A, The Government intends to negotiate a four year extension comprising of four (4) each one-year option periods under an existing Contract for Health Care services in the TRICARE Mid-Atlantic Region 2 and the TRICARE Heartland Region 5. The periods of performance for this extension are as follows: Option Period 6, May 1, 2003 to April 30, 2004, Option Period 7 - May 1, 2004 to April 30, 2005, Option Period 8 - May 1, 2005 to April 30, 2006 and Option Period 9 - May 1, 2006 to April 30, 2007. These Health Care services include all functions needed to provide comprehensive managed care including development of provider networks, claims processing, financing and integration into the military's direct care system to serve all beneficiaries in the regions. The Mid-Atlantic Region includes North Carolina and most of Virginia. The Heartland Region includes Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, a small part of Tennessee, the St. Louis area in Missouri, and most of West Virginia. The existing contract, MDA906-97-C-0005 is with Humana 2/5 (HM2/5), located at 500 West Main Street, Louisville, KY 40201-7462.
