- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals/bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) #0037349. The provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular #2001-06. This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is a Small Business Set- Aside. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 421490 and the business size standard is 100 employees. This will be a Firm-Fixed price one time buy contract. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Luminoscope Corporation, 355 Crider Avenue, Moorestown, NJ 08057, for the following laboratory equipment: (1 ea) ELM-3RP Luminoscope (1 ea) Spectrophotometer System, (1ea) Pentium III computer 1.0Ghz processor: 15" Monitor, 20GB hard drive, 128MB Ram, 48XCD-Rom, (1 ea) Intergrated NIC Card, (1 ea) on-site training, (1 ea) Installation (1 ea) shipping. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all quotes received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the FAR provision 52.212-3-Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commerce Items (Apr 2002).
