Description
NA Z—Baltimore Harbor & Channels, Maryland, 50-Foot and 42-Foot Projects – Maintenance Dredging, Craighill Entrance, Craighill Channel, Craighill Upper Range, Brewerton Channel Eastern Extension, and Tolchester Channel, Chesapeake Bay, Maryland. This propose d procurement is Unrestricted. The SIC Code is 16292/NAICS 234990. Estimated cost of construction is between $10,000, 000.00 and $25,000,000.00. Completion no later than 200 calendar days. The work consists of dredging approximately 2,000,000 cubic yar ds of material from the Craighill Entrance, Craighill Channel, Craighill Upper Range (50 feet deep and 700 feet wide); Cutoff Angle (50 feet deep and 700 – 1,750 feet wide); and Brewerton Channel Eastern Extension and Tolchester Channel (35 feet deep and 6 00 feet wide). The dredged material will be transported and placed in the Poplar Island Environmental Restoration Project. Issue o/a 5 Jun 02; opening o/a 9 Jul 02. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all regist ered plan holders. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be on the web site. Large business firms are required to submit a subcontracting plan. The following subcon tracting dollar goals pertain only to the dollar value of the contract that is subcontracted: 60% of the subcontracted dollar value shall be for small businesses, of that 60%, 15% shall be for small disadvantaged businesses, 8% shall be for women owned sm all businesses, 3% shall be for HubZone small businesses, 3% shall be for veteran owned small businesses and 3% shall be for Service Disabled Veteran owned small businesses. Contractors’ requests for solicitations and quotations will be performed through Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI). Contractors may register to be placed on the bidders/offerors mailing lists by going to the web site: https://ebs.nab.usace.army.mil. Contractors may view, print and download solicitation information, including the B idders Mailing List from this Internet site. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contract or Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract. For information regarding, the CCR web site can be accessed at http://www.ccr2000.com. Other information regarding registration can be obtained through CCR Assistance Center (CCRAC) at 1-888-227-2423. Additionally a paper form for registration may be obtained from the DoD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1-800-334-3414. It is imperative that all small disadvantaged businesses contact their cognizant Small Business Administr ation Office to obtain Small Disadvantaged Business Certification. Without SBA SDB certification, a prime contractor nor a federal agency can receive SDB credit when utilizing non-certified SDB contractors/subcontractors.
