Description

***The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement the renovation of an existing IR^2 Infrared Interferometer, which is now in use by the Manufacturing Metrology Division. The purpose of the upgraded Infrared Interferometer is to measure thickness variation and bow of double side polished, lowly doped silicon wafers 300mm in diameter. Except for badly warped wafers, the IR^2 is currently serviceable for up to the central 150 mm in 200 mm diameter wafers. ***The period of performance shall be six (6) months from the date of award. ***Delivery shall be FOB DESTINATION, Gaithersburg, MD. ***This requirement is being procured using full & open competition. ***The NAICS code for this requirement is 333314 with a size standard of 500 employees. ***The competitive Request for Quotation (RFQ), specifications, RFQ amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at HTTP://WWW.FEDBIZOPS.GOV/ under RFP number SB1341-02-Q-0503. ***The RFQ is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about June 6, 2002, and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site. ***Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the RFQ in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. ***A Site Visit shall be conducted on Wednesday, June 12, 2002. Please reference the request for quotation for site visit details. ***No written solicitation document is available, telephone requests shall not be honored, and no bidders list shall be maintained.
