Description
Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to upgrade heating system at US Coast Guard Station New London, CT (New London County). The work includes removal and replacement of pumps, unit heaters, finned-tube radiators, heating controls, piping and incidental related work, including electrical wiring. Existing hydronic heating system has four zones. Contractor shall provide temporary heat to station building if ambient temperatures fall below 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Testing, adjusting and balancing of whole system is required during and upon completion of work. NAICS code is 235110, with a size standard of $12.0 million. Estimated cost of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The construction period is 60 days. Solicitation packages will be available on June 10, 2002 and may be accessed for download on June 10, 2002 at www.eps.gov. The due date for quotes will be July 09, 2002. Any amendments issued for this solicitation will also be posted at this website. Solicitation documents may also be purchased from RI Blueprint, 335 Webster Ave., Cranston, RI 02920. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
