Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services issued by the Contracting Office, Offutt AFB, NE and prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation number F25600-02-T-0066 is being issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-07. All applicable provisions and clauses are included in the actual solicitation. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: quotes are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Government intends to issue a purchase order for the following commercial service: 1. Preventive maintenance on a 400 Hz converter Model # CSI EPU-5E to include cleaning, load testing and any required repairs. The period of performance for this requirement will be in two separate line items. One will be for 7 days after delivery of contract and the second will be for a follow up approximately 6 months later. NAICS Code is 811211; this solicitation is issued as 100 percent small business set-aside. The SBA Size Standard is $5.0 million. Complete written quotations must be physically received by the 55 Contracting Squadron, 101 Washington Square, Offutt AFB by May 31, 2002 at 4:00 pm CST. Facsimile copies may be submitted to (402) 232-6571. Direct all questions to Jennifer Hoffman via email or facsimile. COLLECT CALLS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED. NO PARTIAL QUOTES WILL BE CONSIDERED. NO PARTIAL AWARDS WILL BE MADE. Please acknowledge all requirements on quotations. Please indicate FOB destination on quote. The following provisions/clauses applies to this solicitation; FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Evaluation will be based on best value including cost and ability to meet requirements. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certification--Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items (which includes: 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity (E.O. 11246); 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Special Disabled and Vietnam Era Veterans (38 U.S.C. 4212); 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers (29 U.S.C. 793); 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Special Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era (38 U.S.C. 4212); 52.222-41, Service Contract Act of 1965, As Amended (41 U.S.C. 351, et seq.)
