Description

NA The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center intends to solicit General Dynamics Land Sytems (GDLS)Division, 2800 Mound Road, Sterling Heights, MI48310-3268 for services necessary for the upgrade of 8 additional Fox NBCRS vehicles in conjunction with exi sting contract DAAM01-96-C-0028. This effort is being solicited of General Dynamics as they are the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. GDLS is the only organization with access to the proprietary dat a such as the Technical Data Package(TDP)for the basic vehicle, Technical Manuals above the unit level and the Repair Parts and Special Tools List (RPSTL) above the unit level necessary to satisfactorily perform the effort required. This effort, the Block 1 Upgrade, involves contractor fabrication and installation of Block 1 components on existing XM93 systems in order to create a single configuration of the Fox NBCRS. Additionally, the contractor shall provide initial M93A1 peculiar spares, special tools, test equipments, and will configure training devices to integrate M93A1 peculiar functionality. The contractor shall also inspect and verify system performance and perform production verification testing. This additional contractor effort is planned to run through 30 September 2003 and is concurrent with the ongoing effort under existing contract DAAM01-96-C-0028.
