Description

NA SIC Code - 3484 Wiesbaden Contracting Center intends to competitively award a Firm Fixed Price contract for Back-Up Iron Sights(BUIS). The BUIS is mounted on the Picatinny Rail of a flat top weapon such as the M4A1 Carbine and M16A4. The sight should be capable of zeroi ng to 300 meters in range. Weight 1.5 oz.; Max Width 1.8 inches; Max length sight leaf folded down 2.26 inches; Max length leaf erect 1.97 inches, Aperture sight height above upper receiver rail surface 1.430(approx); Windage clicks for zeroing 50 (minimum ); Windage knob - Same as M16A2 Rifle; Installation - By user with a flat blade common screwdriver. Sight leaf IAW KAC Drawing #97043 (proprietary)or equal specifications; Material - Steel Alloy type 4130, Heat treatment to 'C' 28-32; Finish - Per Mil Std 171 or equal. Base per KAC Drawing #97078C (proprietary) or equivalent specification, Material - 6061-T651 Aluminum, Finish - Hard Anodize per MIL-A-8625, Type III, Class 2, Film Thickness .0010, Dyed Black Coil Springs and Spring Pins: Corrosion Resist ant Stainless Steel. The required delivery date is approximately 30 to 45 days after receipt of order.
