Description: The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a firm fixed price delivery order under NAVAIR Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-98-G-0035 for a Technical Directive to retrofit F/A-18 C/D aircraft with AIM 9X capability on wingtip stations one and nine. NAVAIR intends to award this order on a sole source basis with McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO. MDC is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18 aircraft and the only known source that can meet program requirements. This synopsis is for informational purposes only.
