Description

Construct wetland restoration project to include following major items of work: clearing and disposing of herbal and woody vegetation from designated areas; cutting, plugging and capping existing drain pipes (6); earth excavation and fill to construct scrapes (18), shallow meandering channel (2350 ft), ditch fills (18,000 ft),ditch plugs (3), oxbow plugs (5) and embankments (4800 Ft); dewatering site, installing (1) steel sheet piling weir structure (72 ft wide x 37 ft deep), including structural assembly and appurtenances, placing geotextile, rock riprap, and finish grading around structure site; shaping and maintaining an access road (12,000 ft) during the construction project; seeding all disturbed areas including ditch plugs, oxbox plugs and embankments (4.8 ac). Range of cost is $100,000 to $250,000. All responsible bidders can obtain a solicitation through www.fedbizopps.gov. A site showing is scheduled for June 27, 2002 at the USDA Service Center, 2912 Red Fox Run, Portage, Wisconsin. For directions call location at (608) 742-5361 x 3. After a brief meeting concerning the bidding process and contract requirements, the group will tour the work site. Be sure to bring your solicitation packages to include designs to the site showing. None will be given at site showing.
