Description
ITEM 1, 800 POUND WASHER-EXTRACTOR, 1 each: Furnish and install one (1) each, top side loading pass through washer-extractor. The washer-extractor shall be of the shell and cylinder type. The size (capacity) shall be based on 5.7 pounds of soiled textiles per cubic foot of cylinder volume (GROSS). The washer-extractor shall be designed for sling loading and unloading with a minimum amount of effort from employees. Wash systems shall be capable of being sling loaded without any spillage. Loading chutes, if required, shall not be portable and must be permanently attached to the wash system 1. Multiple compartment, pass-through model. Size (minimum capacities, pounds): 800 pounds ? of 6 compartments. 2. Successful offeror shall interface existing Class I - Liquid Supply System with installed equipment for the dispensing of seven (7) types of chemicals followed by a fresh water flush capability. Pipe and connections shall be furnished for utilizing the liquid supply system. 3. Successful offeror shall provide and install a stainless-steel dry chemical dispensing unit capable of dispensing at least 7 types of chemicals with a fresh water flush capability. 4. Water level sight glass is required. 5. Water reuse valve is required. 6. Automatic thermal overflow cool-down is required. 7. Anti-vibration protection is required. 8. Divided cylinder machine shall be provided with automatic jog/inching or positioning in addition to manual inching provisions. 9. Unit shall have audible and visual alarms at end of cycle for loading and unloading on both the soil side and clean side. 10. Automatic cycle control shall be of the microprocessor type. The control shall utilize a solid state timing system. Balancing of load prior to extraction is required. 11. Manual dry supply tanks with automatic fresh water flush shall be provided. 12. Machine shall be equipped with an illuminated emergency stop button when activated. Normal stop and emergency stop buttons shall be colored RED. 13. An easily accessible titration valve shall be installed on the washer for testing/sampling of wash water. 14. Washer-extractor shall be exhausted to the outside atmosphere. 15. Unit shall have thermostatically controlled automatic steam injection. 16. Washer will have a 2 speed extraction, high and low speed. 17. Thermo controlled auto steam injection. 18. Washer will balance load prior to extraction. See note 22.
