Description
NA The US Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, has a requirement for the dry-docking and repair of the Dredge Wheeler, an all steel, diesel propelled, sea-going, trailing suction hopper dredge. Length overall ? 408 feet, 3 inches, maximum breadth ? 82 feet, 0 inches, minimum draft AFT ? 21 Feet, 6 inches, minimum draft forward ? 15 feet, 6 inches, lightship displacement ? 9,876.25 long tons. This requirement is being procured as a firm fixed price under FAR/DFAR Seal Bidding and Master Agreements. A Master Ship Repair Agreement must be in place or executed prior to award. The period of work is 30 calendar days after arrival at the Contractor?s facility. Bidding shall be limited to those shipyards in the United States within 1600 nautical miles of the sea buoy at Southwest Pass, Miss River. A site visit to examine the Dredge is recommended by appointment with Steve Cucullu, 504/862-1663, and is tentatively set for July 8, 2002. This solicitation is issued as an unrestricted procurement. The applic able Standard Industrial Code is 3732 and the business size is 1000 employees. The NAICS code is 336611. Solicitation DACW29-02-B-0064 will be available on or about June 21, 2002. All interested parties may request a complete solicitation package in wri ting by fax (504) 862-2889 Attn: Eileen M. Bids are due on or about Ju ly 24, 2002 at 1400 hours. NOTE: Contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr2000.com. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet.
