Description

SYNOPSIS: This procurement is being procured in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This acquisition is UNRESTRICTED and all responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by this agency. The FSC Code is B533, SIC Code is 8999, NAICS code is 541380 and the size standard is $6 Million. The general intention of this contract is to provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and management to perform an Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Professional Services to obtain sediment and water samples. Work to be performed includes providing a Sampling and Analysis Plan (SAP), taking and retrieving sediment core samples and water samples, and Final Sampling and Analysis Report. The contract is for a period of one year from date of a ward, with options to extend for two additional years; not to exceed a total of three years. The Government reserves the right to exercise the contract options before the expiration of the base contract or preceding option period, if the contract amount fo r the base period or preceding option period has been exhausted or nearly exhausted. The Government reserves the right to award the contract, based on initial offers received, without discussion of such offers. The contract shall be awarded to that respo nsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation, is considered to be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The RFP will be issued on or about 11 JUN 2002 and close on or about 21 JUN 2002. There is NO site visit scheduled for this project. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(1) availability of the RFQ will be limited to the electronic medium; the RFQ will be available for download free of charge via the Internet World Wide Web. NOTE: (paper sets) or CD-ROM of the R FQ will not be provided by the Government. Telephone and facsimile request will not be accepted. Notification of any changes (amendments) to the solicitation will be made only on the Internet. ORDERING SOLICITATION: The solicitation will be available for download on 11 Jun 02. To download the solicitation, you need to go to the Sacramento District Contracting Division?s Internet Home Page at http://ebs.spk.usace.army.mil/. From there click on SACRAMENTO DISTRICT, then it will take you to list of advertised solicitations and then from there click on the desired solicitation number. At the bottom of this page there is a bar that says download/view solicitation files. Select plans or specs from the drop down box and press the Go button. This will take you to the next page, then click on the file name and download. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. It will be the contractor's responsibility to check the website for any posted changes.
