- Description
- The Library of Congress intends to negotiate a sole source IDIQ contract with EBSCO Publishing, Inc. (EH) to continue to provide their EbscoHost database services for the FEDLINK Program for FY03. The proposed contract is for one year. EBSCO Publishing provides federal libraries and information centers access to more than 88 reference databases from more than 4000 of the world's most prestigious European and American scholarly publishers, and 1 million abstracts and full-text records in various electronic and web-based formats. EBSCO is the producer and developer of at least 60 proprietary reference databases and provides superior coverage in the areas of business, health, multi-cultural issues, music, politics, history, geography and science. Online, licensed and full-text database products and services are accessible through their industry recognized user friendly EBSCOhost Web interface. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals or bids. No telephone calls regarding this notice will be accepted. Written responses shall include prices and technical data sufficient to determine capability. No award will be based on any offer or proposal received in response to this notice. (See Note 22). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
