Description
NA The work in the base bid will consist of planting approximately 806 hardwood trees and 886,000 SF of native grasses; construction of an irrigation system and two (2) irrigation pump stations; excavation of approximately 39,000 CY of earth for construction of a wetland; basin dredging (excavation) of approximately 547,000 CY from the North Canadian River channel and spoil bank grading; asphalt and concrete maintenance access trails and a concrete boat ramp, and asphalt parking lots with concrete curb and gut ter. Bid options will consist of public recreation seating areas and asphalt access points and a trailhead recreation area with paving, benches, drinking fountains, waste receptacles, bike racks; additional trees, additional native grasses and irrigation; additional access trails and boardwalk; and asphalt parking lot with concrete curb and gutter; and stone retaining wall with signage. The work area will be on both banks of the North Canadian River in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma from about May Avenue west to approximately Meridian Avenue, a total of about 4 miles in length, and in the North Canadian River channel for basin dredging, about 2 miles in length. Estimated cost range of this project is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Plans and specifications will be a vailable on/or about June 13, 2002, and will be provided on Compact Disk (CD-ROM). THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER FIRM. Plans, specifications, and planholders lists will not be provided in a printed hard copy format.
