Description

The Bureau of the Public Debt will issue a commercial item solicitation to acquire maintenance (to include continued software licensing) on a Storage Technology Corporation (StorageTek) Automated Tape Library system initially consisting of the following: 1 - 4410-35G 3,500 Cartridge Library Storage Module; 1 ? 4410-30G 3,000 Cartridge Library Storage Module; 2 ? 4411-001 Library Control Unit; 1 - 4420-001 Pass-thru-Port; 1 - 9330-001 Library Management Unit; 1 ? FC 2602 2 Host Connection; 2 ? 4490-M30 36TK Tape Control Unit; 2 ? FC 1511 1st additional channel; 2 ? FC 3211 Control Unit Coupler; 2 ? FC 4411 Detached Operation; 2 ? FC 4412 Large Library Operation; 4 ? 4490-M34 36TK Cartridge Drive (4 transports); 4 ? FC 4411 Detached Operation; 4 ? FC 4412 Large Library Operation; 4 ? FC 4442 Velocity Option; 2 ? 4490-M30 36TK Tape Control Unit; 2 ? FC 1511 1st additional channel; 1 ? FC 3211 Control Unit Coupler; 2 ? FC4411 Detached Operation; 2 ? FC 4412 Large Library Operation; 1 ? 4410-301-501 Upgrade, 3000 to 5000 Cartridges; 1 ? 4410-351-551 Upgrade, 3500 to 5500 Cartridges; 1 ? 1190-M20 MVS/XA/ESA HSC 2.0; with subsequent hardware upgrades which included 12 ? 9840L02, Library, ESCON; and 8 ? T9940, Library, ESCON. The proposed contract will have a term of one base year and six option years. This solicitation will be set aside 100 percent for small business. See Numbered Note 1.
