- This is a modification to solicitation SP0100-02-R-4019 for the AIRSAVE Body Armor System originally synopsized on December 9, 2001. It is the Government?s intent to issue a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Type Contract (IDTC) in place of a Requirements Contract. As a result of this modification there will be a Base Year and Four Option Years. The quantities for the Base Year are as follows: NSN:8470-01-441-2993 (med), NSN:8470-01-441-2996 (lrg), BODY ARMOR SOFT, FRONT AND BACK, MIN13,650/ea. MAX 16,380/ea. NSN:8470-01-441-2991 (med), NSN:8470-01-442-1990 (lrg), BODY ARMOR HARD, FRONT AND BACK, MIN 1,726/ea. MAX 2,071/ea. NSN:8470-01-441-2986(med), NSN:8470-01-442-2062 (lrg), FRONT ASSEMBLY BODY ARMOR, HARD, MIN 6,850/ea. MAX 8220/ea. NSN:8470-01-441-2995 (med), NSN:8470-01-441-2997 (lrg), BODY ARMOR, INSERT, MIN 548/ea. MAX 658/ea. The quantities for the four (4) Option Years are as follows: NSN:8470-01-441-2993 (med), NSN:8470-01-441-2996 (lrg), BODY ARMOR SOFT, FRONT AND BACK, MIN 3,993/ea. MAX 6,000/ea. NSN:8470-01-441-2991 (med), NSN:8470-01-442-1990 (lrg), BODY ARMOR HARD, FRONT AND BACK, MIN 1,149/ea. MAX 1,724/ea. NSN:8470-01-441-2986(med), NSN:8470-01-442-2062 (lrg), FRONT ASSEMBLY BODY ARMOR, HARD, MIN 1,141/ea. MAX 1,712/ea. NSN:8470-01-441-2995 (med), NSN:8470-01-441-2997 (lrg), BODY ARMOR, INSERT, MIN 827/ea. MAX 1,240/ea. This acquisition will be a 100% total Small Business Set-Aside. Deliveries will be in the Continental United States. First production lead- time will be 180 days. First Article Is Required (30) Units Minimum of 15 each size shall be inspected at the contractor?s plant. First Article will be inspected for visual, dimensional and packaging IAW MIL-B-29604. In addition, the units will be tested for the requirements contained in MIL-B-29604. The requirement for a Quality Assurance Plan is hereby incorporated. As a result, the technical evaluation factors in descending order of importance are: Past Performance, Manufacturing Plan, Quality Assurance Plan, Industrial Mobilization, and DLA Mentoring Business Agreements. Government reserves the right to award on a basis other than price alone. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the Agency. All materials are contractor furnished. Include notes 1, 9, 26. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway (Gateway) at http://progate.daps.mil/home after (07 June 2002). From the Gateway home page, select ?Search RFQs? from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFQ you wish to view. In addition, you can enter DSCP C&T FSCs and NSNs to receive notification of RFQs. The Gateway will send all registered users an e-mail notification of RFQ solicitations based on your FSC and NSN profile. The NSN notification will contain a link that can connect users directly to a digital copy of the solicitation on the Internet.
