- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution at Tucson, Arizona(FCI-Tucson), intends to make a single award for the provision of Medical Services for the Federal Correctional Institution in Tucson, Arizona. Services to be provided include inpatient/outpatient physician services, inpatient/outpatient facility services, and outpatient institution services. The contract type should be shown as an indefinite quantity requirements type contract with firm fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a 12-month option period for renewal. There will be a one year base with four one year options. The estimated quantities inpatient/outpatient physician services and inpatient/outpatient facility services are as follows: Base Year - 135 inpatient days and 100 outpatient days; Option Year One - 135 inpatient days and 100 outpatient days; Option Year Two - 135 inpatient days and 100 outpatient days; Option Year Three - 135 inpatient days and 100 outpatient days; and Option Year Four - 135 inpatient days and 100 outpatient days. Outpatient Physician Services at FCI-Tucson are as follows: Orthopedic Surgeon - Estimate of one (1) session per quarter. Each session shall consist of three (3) hours each. Estimate. Estimate four (4) sessions per contract year. Services to include, but not limited to: initial consultation and follow-up; casting, splinting and physician treatment modalities. Optometrist-Estimate of (2) two sessions per month. Each session shall consist of four (4) hours. Estimate (48) sessions per contract year. Services to include, but not limited to providing eye refraction, prescriptions and tonometry. Psychiatrist-Estimate of two (2) sessions per month. Each session shall consist of two (2) hours. Estimate (24) sessions per contract year. Services to include, but not limited to providing diagnosis, recommending treatment, psycho tropic medications and a 30 minute meeting with the BOP psychology staff prior to the commencement of the blocked sessions. Diagnosis will be in accordance with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association, 4th ed. (DSM-IV). Phlebotomist-Estimate of four (4) sessions per week. Each session shall consist of seven (7) per hour. Estimate (208) sessions per contract year. Services to include, but not limited to providing, collecting, processing, packing and shipping all specimens inventory, maintain files, provide analytical interpretation and evaluation of all biological specimens. X-Ray Technician-Estimate of four (4) sessions every week. Each session shall consist of four (4) hours. Estimate (208) sessions per contract year. Services to include, but not limited to performing basic radiographic procedures and assists Radiologist with specialized contrast studies. X-Ray Interpretation & Evaluation performed by a Radiologist. Estimated at 1140 X-Rays per year.
