Description
NA This project consists of a co-located Maintenance Hangar (4,036 SM) and Fuel Cell (2,278 SM) Hangar. Each hangar is a high bay aircraft hangar with reinforced concrete foundations, floor slabs, structural steel frame, masonry walls, standing seam metal roo f, High Expansion Foam fire protection system, 60 Hz and 400 Hz power systems, lightning protection, building utilities, site improvements, and necessary support. The facility will have two 5-ton hoist cranes, electric hangar doors, and compressed shop air for each hangar bay. The Maintenance hangar is designed for the performance of simultaneous maintenance on two C-130 aircrafts. The aircraft parking arrangement in the hangar with one aircraft tail-in and one aircraft tail-out when two aircraft are parked in the hangar. In addition to the hangar bays the maintenance hangar includes a requirement for tool storage, bench stock, parts storage, 21 storage, training/break room and administrative space. Space breakdown is as follows: Isochronal Hangar Bay area: 1,743 SM 918,759 SF) including outside walls and door pockets, Unscheduled Maintenance Hangar bay area: 1,153 SM (12,414 SF), Support Functions area: 1,140 SM (12,270 SF). The fuel cell hangar is a medium bay aircraft hangar with features similar to the ma intenance hangar described above. Space breakdown is: Hangar Bay area: 1,768 SM (19,035 SF) including outside walls and door pockets. Support Function area: 508 SM (5m476 SF) including all partitions and outside walls. In addition to the hangar bay, the fu el cell hangar includes a requirement for tool storage, fuel cell foam drying, paint storage, training/break room and administrative space. The project also includes the requirement for water fire pumping station with a 32,000-gallon water storage tank. Th ere are three options on this project, which are: 1) Domestic water line, 2) Asphalt pavement at the Aircraft Parking Apron and 3) Demolition of existing Fuel Cell, slab and foundation. The estimated construction cost is $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. This project is avertised as full and open competition; however, the HubZone price evaluation preference does apply. The plans and specifications are available on compact disk only. The drawing files are in CAL format and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Source View Reader. Both readers are contained in the solicitation package. Minimum system requirements are: 486 - based personal computer, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater, 8 MB application RAM, 4 MB hard disk space, and compact disk drive.
