- NA The Walla Walla District Corps of Engineers intends to award a SOLE SOURCE commercial item contract to Solid State Controls, Inc. (SCI) in accordance with the authority in FAR 13.5. Subject contract will be for replacement and augmentation of the DC inver ters needed to implement the new Generic Data Acquisition and Control System (GDACS) at the four Lower Snake River plants and Dworshak Dam. The DC inverter is the device that provides continuous AC power to the plant control systems in the event of loss o f normal power. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received in response to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The size standard for small business concerns under NAICS 334511 is 750 employees.
