Description
NA JOB DESCRIPTION: The work consists of the following tasks: 1. Provide expansion of Fort Huachuca?s reclaimed water distribution system. Work to include providing new pump at the waste water treatment plant, approx 10,000 feet of U.G. high-density polyethylene piping to various sites, providing booster pump statio ns and controls, connection of new reclaimed water distribution system to existing irrigation system and testing system to ensure reclaimed water system is not connected to any potable water utilization points. Route of new UG re-claimed water line will be thru cantonment area and will involve numerous road and utility crossings. The utilities will have to be field verified for exact location. 2. Upgrade Fort Huachuca?s Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). Work to include providing new chemical addition coagulation system and expansion to existing UV disinfection system. The coagulation system will include metering pumps, and a polymer storage t ank. The expansion to new UV disinfection system will include addition of new banks of UV lamps and modification of existing concrete channel baffling to accommodate the expanded UV system. 3. Upgrade WWTP Electrical Supply System. Upgrade WWTP electrical supply system by providing following: new 13.8 kV primary service, new padmount transformer, new switchboards, new emergency generator and new motor control center. 4. Provide New Reservoir Covers: Provide new flexible geomembrane covers on the three separate reclaimed water-holding ponds. This work includes the construction of support structures and cover components on one 1.8 million gallon and two 0.7 million gall on holding ponds. 5. Replace Damaged Sewer Mains: Work will consist of replacing approximately 6000 lf of sewer main. This work will involve the excavation and removal of existing vitrified clay pipe and brick manholes and replacement with plastic pipe and pre-cast concret e manholes and the repair of any pavements as a result of the construction. This Procurement will be conducted under FSC Code: Y249, SIC Code: 1623, NAICS Code: 234910. The size standard for this code is $28.5 million. TYPE OF AWARD: This IFB is a Section 8(a) Competitive, firms should be registered with the SBA Arizona District Office, Phoenix, AZ. All bids are due in not later than 17 July 2002/ 1300 (1:00 pm). Bid Opening will be at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer s, Los Angeles District, 911 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA, see specifications. ORDERING SOLICITATION: The solicitation for this project will be available on the Sacramento District Contracting Division?s Internet Home Page at http://ebs.spk.usace.army.mil/ for downloading. Any future amendments to the solicitation will also be avai lable for download from this web site. Requests for copies of this solicitation in any other format than what is advertised will be disregarded. It is important that you first go to this web site and under contract division home page, click on the advert ised solicitation you are interested in. Go to plan holders registration. This will require you to establish a user name and password. Keep the user name and password and share it with anyone else in your organization that is responsible for registering your firm on plan holders lists. With our new system you only have to do the full registration one time. If you have your user name and password, you can always go back into the system and register for other jobs without having to go through the entire registration process. However, you can only do this by using your initial user name and password. In order to receive notification of any amendments to the solicit ation you are required to register for the plan holders? list. Please complete all requested information. The solicitation will be available for download on 17 June 2002. From there click on SACRAMENTO District, then it will take you to list of advertised solicitations and then from there click on the desired solicitation number. And at the bottom of this page, there is a bar that says download/view solicitation files. Select plans or specs from the drop down box and press go button. This will take you to the next page, then from there click on the file name and download. All responsible sources may subm it a bid, which will be considered by the agency. Please note that all contractors and potential contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database, effective 31 May 1998.
