Description
NACICS 235990 - Provide all labor and materials for the chiller replacement in the US Customs House in New Orleans, Louisiana. The work includes replacement of the existing obsolete fire alarm system with a new system that is in compliance with the latest code. The new system shall include, but not limited to, all control equipment, using the existing remote transponder panel, power supplies, signal initiating and notification devices, conduits, wires, fittings, and all other accessories required to provide a complete and operational system as indicated in the drawings and specifications. Estimated cost range is between $300,000 and $700,000. Project No. is RTX02033 and Solicitation No. is GS-07P-02-URC-1021. Solicitations will be issued electronically. Solicitation issue date will be on or about June 28, 2002. Proposal due date will be on or about July 29, 2002. This project is being procured using informal source selection procedures, which will result in a firm-fixed price award to the offeror who provides the best value to the Government. Notices of the solicitation and any amendments to the solicitation will be posted on this web site at: www.fedbizopps.gov/. Access to the complete solicitation, specifications, drawings, and amendments to the solicitation will be made available only through a secured Extranet site. Interested parties shall send all requests, to access the restricted Internet site, for the complete solicitation, to the attention of the POC as referenced below. This request should include the contractor's company name, DUNS number, Tax ID#, mailing address, phone number, and e-mail address. Additionally, the contractor must review, complete, and return the attached Document Security Notice (DSN), along with a copy of their business license (if available), to the POC. Upon receipt of the completed DSN, and acceptance of the firm's request for access to the restricted site and the solicitation, two separate e-mails will be transmitted, to the e-mail address provided, assigning the firm a User ID and password. These e-mails will provide instructions and requirements for entry into the secured Extranet site and access to the solicitation. This project is being procured on an unrestricted basis under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration. Therefore, all responsible firms are invited to participate. A bid guarantee will be required. Note: If you wish to be included on the Planholder's list for this project, please forward your company name, address and fax number to the POC. Note: A pre-solicitation meeting is scheduled on or about July 16, 2002 and will be highly recommend for all interested Contractor's to attend.
