Description

The Government will issue a Solicitation for Weekly Egg deliveries on or about 1 August 2002. The Government intends to award a Requirements Contract to the Contractor who bids the lowest price, offers any discounts and who in the Government's opinion offers the best value to the Government. The Contractor shall provide EGGS, SHELL, MEDIUM OR LARGE, U.S. CONSUMER GRADE A, PACKED 30 DOZEN PER SHIPPING CONTAINER, WITH MINIMUM NET WEIGHT OF 21 TO 24 OUNCES PER DOZEN at the Urner Barry Regional Spot Market Prices including any Contractor DISCOUNTS on a weekly basis. The Contractor shall notify the FCI Petersburg Contracting Officer on Fridays at 804-733-7881, ext. 275 or at Internet Address: dreeves@bop.gov and give him the next weeks egg price. The Contracting Officer will then get with the Food Service Department and have them prepare their egg order, and then give the Contractor the order to be delivered on Wednesday (but no later than Friday)or the Delivery day can be worked out mutually between the Contractor and FCI Petersburg after award of the Contract. The Contractor will fill all orders complete, even if they have to deliver the balance on the next working day. The performance period will be from date of award or 1 October 2002 (which ever comes first) to 30 September 2003. All bids are due by 1:00P.M. on September 5, 2002.
