Description

The Corporation for National and Community Service, a wholly-owned Government Corporation, intends to award a contract to a qualified vendor who can provide sleeping rooms, meeting space and meals for AmeriCorps VISTA Early Service Training on 09- 12 July 2, 2002. The following will be required:  Beginning 07 July. 2002 at 10:30 a.m. Registration area in the lobby of the facility with 4 large tables, 2 easel with pad and trashcan.  Dinner (served at 6:30 p.m.) for approximately 130 persons days 1-3 of training.  Breakfast (served at 7:00 a.m.) for approximately 130 persons days 2-4 of training  Lunch (served at 11:45 a.m.) for approximately 130 persons days 2-4 of training  Morning breaks day 2 -4 (130 people). The morning breaks shall consist of coffee & tea. The afternoon breaks of coffee, tea, soft drink and light snacks. Afternoon breaks day's 1 -3 (130 people). 20% of all meals are estimated to be kosher or vegetarian.  One large meeting room for approximately 130 people (rounds) days 1-4  4 breakout rooms will be needed to accommodate 4 rounds of 8 at each tables for days 2-4  Sleeping rooms needed: 65 Double: 09-12 July 02 10 Singles: 09-12 July 2002  Audiovisual equipment to consist of:  (1) telephone at the registration desk and trashcan;  (3) easels, pads & markers in each of breakout rooms days 2-4  (1) Lavaliere Microphone or wireless hand held Mic  (3) Monitor and VCR.  (4) Overhead Projectors and screen in each of breakout rooms days 2-4 Federal Regulations require that any hotel/conference space contracted shall comply with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and the FEMA, Fire Prevention and Control Guidelines. All proposed prices must be inclusive. For example, audio-visual rentals and the cost of food must include gratuity if applicable. This announcement is for solicitation of proposals for upcoming training event. The solicitation number is ESTFLJULY02 and is issued as a request for a quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 02-05. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number for this requirement is 721110, Hotels (except casino hotels) Motels and the small business size standard is $5M. The provisions at 52.212.1, Instructions to Offers, Commercial, applies to this acquisition. This is best value procurement and evaluation of offers will be based on quality, past performance and price. References must be included with your offer. The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions, Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statues or Executive Orders, Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following clauses listed in 52.212-5 (b) and (c) are included by reference: 52.222-21; 52.222-22; 52.222-23; 52.222-41; 52.225-3 and 52.232-34. Quotations must be submitted in writing, signed by a person authorized to negotiate on behalf of the vender with the Government and sent to the address in this announcement. Responses to this RFQ are due at the above office by COB, 10 June 2002. Only those venders in the Metro locations of Orlando, FL need to respond.
