Description
Potential Sources Sought: The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center is seeking qualified sources that can provide Paxman 18,000-Hour Engine Overhaul Kits (modified to accommodate engines repaired at the Coast Guard facility), S/N 2815-01-LG8-1175, consisting of numerous Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. It is the Government's belief that only Paxman Diesel, Ltd. and/or their authorized distributor(s) can furnish the required parts and ensure the proper form, fit and function of all its components. However, other potential sources with the expertise and required capabilities to furnish other than Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts can submit such data discussing the same in duplicate within 15 days from the date of this announcement. The following information must be provided to evaluate the acceptability of the offered replacement parts: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered replacement parts (i.e. Salient physical, functional, and serviceability characteristics, or 2) Data that the offered replacement parts have been satisfactorily provided to the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the proposal relative to the above requirements. It is the offeror's responsibility to supply this information with their proposal. The Government intends to make award upon receipt of initial proposals without discussions. Incomplete supporting data may render your proposal technically unacceptable. No cost or pricing data is required. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
