- This is for a firm fixed-price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with a 3-year ordering period for Ball Bearing Screw Assemblies applicable to C-5 aircraft. Initial order for contract minimum of 30 each of a combination of CLINs will be placed at time of contract award. Contract maximum quantity is 615 each of any combination CLINs for all ordering periods. CLIN 0001: NSN 1680-00-195-7103UC, P/N: 5702702. CLIN 0002: NSN 1680-00-249-7137UC, P/N: 5702705. CLIN 0003: NSN 1680-00-400- 3744UC, P/N: 5702701. CLIN 0004: NSN 1680-00-456-7568UC, P/N: 5702704. CLIN 0005: NSN 1680-00-252-0149UC, P/N: 5702703. General info for all CLINs: DIM: approx 3 inches high x approx 3 inches wide x approx 91.5 inches deep, weight 21.5 pounds. MATL: Aluminum/steel. FUNC: The ball screw is mounted in the wing and the ball nut is attached to the flap; rotation of the ball screw causes extension or retraction of the flap. DEL:90 days after receipt of individual order. The approximate solicitation issue date will 14 June 2002 with an approximate response date 14 July 2002. Solicitation will be available for viewing or downloading from w'ww.FedBizOpps.gov website only. No telephone requests. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE ISSUED. Restricted to THOMSON SAGINAW BALL SCREW COMPANY LLC. (CAGE 0A335), Saginaw, MI. Authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Supplies (or services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements applies. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. All potential sources should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not addressed satisfactorily by the Contracting Officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of the proposals or in the source selection process.
