Description

This acquisition is being offered for competition to eligible 8(a) concerns within Region IV of the Small Business Administration. Region IV is comprised of the following eight states: Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Mississippi. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code: 722310, Food Service Contractors. Your attention is invited to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting (Dec 1996). The anticipated posting of the solicitation to the Electronic Posting System (EPS) is 25 June 2002. Potential offerors should note the scheduled site visit date is approximately two (2) weeks after posting. Attendance is highly recommended. Please try to limit your attendees to two. Commercial practices and Best Value practices will be utilized in this procurement. Any resulting contract shall be firm fixed-price. Base year period of performance shall be 01 October 2002 through 30 September 2003, with four (4) pre-priced 12-month option periods. Work consists of providing mess attendant services at two dining facilities at Hurlburt Field FL. A third dining facility is under construction; estimated completion date is June 2003. A Collective Bargaining Agreement exists and any successor is advised that statutory requirements exist concerning wages contained in the agreement.
