Description

WRITTEN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE CONSTRUCTION RENOVATION OF A HISTORIC U.S. COURTHOUSE LOCATED IN TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA. The Southeast Sunbelt Region of the United States General Services Administration (GSA) is soliciting written expressions of interest for an upcoming procurement for construction services for the repair and alteration of the Historic U.S. Courthouse in Tallahassee, Florida. This is a restricted procurement, set-aside for certified Small Businesses under the Small Business Competition Demonstration Program in accordance with FAR 19.10 and Subpart FAR 19.5 Set-Aside for Small Business. Formal Source Selection Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 15.101 will be used to procure these services. It is GSA?s desire that Small Businesses responding to this announcement be located in the Southeast Sunbelt Region consisting of the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee or South Carolina, however, all firms responding will be considered. Firms must be bondable up to $5 million dollars minimum. The cost range for this project is $3,000,000 to $4,000,000. The NAICS code is 233320. The size standard is $28.5 million. The building is located at 110 East Park Avenue in downtown Tallahassee, Florida, and was constructed in 1935. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places. The facility consists of 59,976 gross square feet, 5,572 gross square meters with 50 secured outside parking spaces. Construction is tentatively scheduled to start October 25, 2002, with a completion date of August 1, 2003.
