Description
The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about March 04, 2002 at http://www.eps.gov/. Please sign up for the Auto Notification service to receive an e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. Hard copies of the solicitation will be provided only upon request. Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs to the USCGC OUACHITA (WLR-65501) including but not limited to the following Base and Option items: (1) Welding Repairs (2) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shafts (3) Renew Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings (4) Renew Shaft Sleeves (5) Remove and Reinstall Propellers (6) Perform Minor Repairs and Reconditioning of Propeller (7) Clean and Test Grid Coolers (8) Overhaul and Renew Valves (9) Inspect and Test Air Receivers and Relief Valves (10) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Rudder Assembly (11) Renew Rudder Lower Bearing Trunk (12) Renew Upper Bearing Housing and Upper Bearing Housing Support (13) Preserve Spud and Spud Well on Tender and Barge (14) Overhaul Air Capstan (15) Fabricate and Install New Sewage Tank (16) Hydro-Blast Clean Sewage and Grey Water Piping System (17) Inspect Various Deck Fittings (18) Preserve and Disinfect Potable Water Tanks (19) Preserve Barge Buoy Deck (20) Preserve Underwater Body (21) Preserve Freeboard (22) Provide Temporary Logistics (23) Routine Drydocking (24) Renew Rub Rail Sections (25) Modify Barge Side Shell Plating (26) Upgrade Ship Service Diesel Generators (27) Upgrade Power and Lighting Systems (28) Upgrade Engine Room Ventilation System (29) Renew Deck Covering (30) Composite Labor, (31) GFP report in accordance with solicitation Section H. The vessel is a 65 Foot ?A? Class River Bouy Tender. Vessel's homepier is located at Foot of Old Harrison Pike Chattanooga, TN. All repairs are to be performed at the contractor?s facility. The performance period is fifty-four (54) calendar days beginning on or about June 03, 2002. Funds are available for this procurement. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request [ten days from solicitation issuance]. MLCA must have ten (10) days advance notice to complete a CD-ROM set of drawings. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). Drawings are still available in hardcopy; however, a non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit offers for subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or about October 26, 2001. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. "Attention: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
