Description

This project is for the removal and replacement of asphalt shoulders in the flight line alert area for Mountain Home AFB, ID. The project also includes an addition of 52,800 square yards of 4 inch thick PG 70-28 AC. The Base Bid Items include. CLIN 0001: Repair Shoulders, Alert Area. All materials and equipment required for Full-Depth removal and replacement of asphalt shoulders in the alert area CLIN 0002: All materials and equipment to install an additional 52,800 SY of 4 inch thick PG 70-28 AC. This will be a firm-fixed price construction contract with an approximate 120 -calendar day performance time. This solicitation, a request for proposal (RFP), will be issued on an unrestricted basis. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 234110 and the small business size standard is $28,500,000. The successful contractor will be selected by evaluation using performance / trade off approach resulting in the best value for the Government. Performance is significantly more important than price. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. Offerors shall submit proposals that can be accepted solely on the basis of the initial offer as the Government may proceed with award of a contract without further discussion. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 17 June 2002 using the Government's Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper copies are not available. You must register on the subject site in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation; however, you may still retrieve the changes without registering. Note: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov/) in order to be eligible for award.
