- NA SOURCES SOUGHT--the purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential HUBZone businesses. Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan anticipates the solicitation and award of a contract for Base Transient Aircraft Maintenance Services, including but not limited to: Transient Alert Management Control, Arrival Services (pre-positioning safety & ground equipment, check for hot brakes, marshal aircraft, install gear lock/ejection seat/canopy pins, install wheel chocks, ground aircraft, debrief aircr aft commander, retrieve deployed chutes & repack, and connect support equipment), Maintenance Services (turn-around inspections, check & service engine oil, check & service oxygen, visual inspection of airframe & components, check for fluid leaks, damage o r safety of flight discrepancies, document forms, tow aircraft, secure overnight aircraft, check tires & struts, change wheel & tire assemblies, and perform operational checks & minor maintenance), Processing Services, and Departure Services (brief aircraf t commander, inspect parking area for FOD, open/secure travel pod doors, remove ground equipment, wires, chocks, pins & other equipment, assist flight crew in pre-flight & engine checklist, and perform end of runway inspections). Contractors must be fully qualified in all aspects of the requirement to be considered. Source selection procedures will be utilized to determine awardee. All interested HUBZone business concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intention to submit a proposal as a prime contractor no later than 14 June 2002. This notification, which shall not exceed five typewritten pages, must include: (1) a positive statement of intent to bid as a prime contractor, (2) identification of the firm with appro priate HUBZone status, which will be verified via SBA PROnet, (3) a listing of projects completed during the past three years, both for government and private industry. The type of project, dollar value, contract number, location, and point of contact are to be included. Indicate if you were the prime contractor or a subcontractor and, if subcontractor, provide the name and point of contact for the prime, and (4) a brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that would be used to accompl ish the contract. In the event that a sufficient number of HUBZone contractors are not available to ensure adequate competition for this project, it will be advertised as a small business set-aside.
