- NA Description: THIS NOTICE IS NOT INTENDED TO SOLICIT INTEREST FROM NEW CONTRACTORS FOR THIS RFP, BUT TO NOTIFY POTENTIAL SUBCONTRACTORS OF THE PRIME CONTRACTORS SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SECOND PHASE OF THIS TWO-PHASE DESIGN BUILD PROJECT. Phase One has concluded and offerors have been selected to proceed to Phase Two. The following offerors will be provided RFP documents and invited to participate in Phase Two: (1) Astrid Contract Technical Services, d/b/a ACTS, Inc., 797 S. Phase Two documents will be issued on or about 13 June 2002. Phase Two proposals will be due on or about 16 July 2002. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will also be available on or about 6/13/02 on the internet at: http://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil. Amendments to this solicitation will b e posted on the internet at the above address unless the total amended compressed files are greater than 5 MBYTES, in which case a new CD ROM disk will be issued. For amendments that are only posted on the internet, SF 30, Amendment of Solicitation/Modifi cation of Contract, and a list of revised specifications and drawings will be mailed to each bidder. This solicitation is for the design permitting, site preparation and construction of a EOD Group Headquarters Building and a Company Operations Building t o provide adequate administrative facility at Fort Gillem, Georgia to meet space requirements of the 52nd Explosive Ordnance EOD) Group, 184th Explosive Ordnance Battalion (EOD), the USA (EOD) and Very Important Persons Protective Support Activity (VIPPSA ), and the 723rd Ordnance Company. The facility will have state of the art communications technology, fiber optic cable and the latest computer equipment capable rapidly reporting data base strengths. Technical manuals for all systems will be provided. This project shall be designed by registered architects and engineers employed by or subcontracted by the successful contractor. COST RANGE: $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsib le offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, offers the ?Best Value? to the Government, price and technical factors considered.
