Description: This project consists of construction of a multi-layer landfill cover system. The cover system consists of topsoil, cover soil, a geocomposite drainage layer, a geomembrane liner, a geosynthetic clay liner, and soil barrier layer. The project will also include demolition/disposal of a shed, abandonment or raising of existing groundwater monitoring wells, installation of gas monitoring probes, storm water management control measures, construction quality control, and source borrow area development/restoration. Estimated Price Range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. PRE-BID MEETING will be held at the Laona Ranger District office, 4978 Hwy 8, Laona, WI. Meet at 10 a.m. after review of specifications, will travel to the landfill site (approximately 7 miles) for on-site tour and continuation of pre-bit meeting.
