Description

NA The US Army CECOM Acquisition Center Washington intends to negotiate a contract with Alliant Technical Systems, Plymouth, MN 55442 for the purchase of the M87A1 Mine Canister, P/N 12953430. Each canister contains six Anti-Tank Mines which are used in the M 139 Multiple Delivery Mine System. The estimated quantity is 1050 M87A1 Canisters. Delivery is 30 December 2003. A secret clearance is required. See note 22. Manufacturers capable of producing the item must so indicate in writing to kari.Gregory@cacw. army.mil. Telephonic responses will not be accepted. Responses must include capability documentation such as test results and copies of purchase orders if the manufacturer has previously produced the item. Capability documentation must also include a st atement certifying that the manufacturer can, in fact, produce an item which will physically and functionally be interchangeable with previously produced canisters. Prospective manufacturers shall be required to warrant that the item produced will perform satisfactorily when used for the intended purpose by the military.
