- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Business Center has a requirement for First Call Co-op Maintenance Service on Government owned Philips Medical Systems (formerly Picker International) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Equipment. This is a synopsis for a commercial service. This announcement constitutes a synopsis only. This procurement is unrestricted. The solicitation document will incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The NAICS code for this project is 811219 (annual income of 5.0 million or less). The Government seeks a contractor with ability to support Government first call service. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, tools and transportation required to repair and maintain government owned MRI equipment at the Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, Sepulveda Campus, Los Angeles, CA and the VA Long Beach Healthcare System, Long Beach, CA facilities. The successful contractor must have local facilities and service technicians to be able to respond within two hours of initial service call. The intended contract will be for a base period of one year with the government?s option to extend the contract in one-year increments for four (4) one-year option periods. The solicitation issue date will be on or about July 1, 2002 with proposals due on or about August 1, 2002 (2:00PM). Qualified businesses wishing to receive a copy of the solicitation must submit their request in writing with complete name, address, telephone number, fax number and a point of contact.
