Description
The Regional Contracting Office within REDSO/ESA (Nairobi, Kenya) invites firms and organizations to eventually submit proposals for a contract with U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)to provide travel management and related services to USAID and the American Embassy offices located in Nairobi, Kenya. (Other U.S. Government offices may be included under the contract through a contract modification). USAID/REDSO/ESA anticipates award of a single, commercial service contract to the firm offering the best value to the U.S. Government, technical and cost factors considered. The USAID/Nairobi Complex is comprised principally of three organizations which require travel services within Kenya, within the African region, to Europe and North America, as well as to other destinations worldwide. Total staff of the Complex is between 250 and 300. The U.S. Embassy to Kenya is comprised of the Department of State, Department of Defense, Library of Congress and many other offices described in the Solicitation. All of these offices will utilize the travel services of the Embassy travel contract. Over 50% of the Embassy staff travel regularly to other African countries to perform regional services. In addition, numerous official visitors transit Nairobi. Airline ticketing services and visa services are required for hundreds of official travelers each year as are conference facilities/facilitation. The Contractor shall provide travel and travel-related services on a sabre-like system to the USAID/Nairobi Complex and U.S. Embassy covering both official and personal travel. The contractor will be the exclusive provider of official USG traveler services, private duty by the government for the agencies in this contract. The minimum service requirement include: travel itineraries, international and domestic ticketing, complimentary offerings, reservations and information for hotels (domestic and international), a worldwide rent-a-car services, visa expediting, airport services i.e. (transfers, meet and assist at Jomo Kenyatta Airport), travel support services and other ADDITIONAL requirements that will be published in the Solicitation. Once the Solicitation is issued, all question related to the Solicitation must be addressed in writing by letter, fax or e-mail to the below contact points, with reference to the Solicitation number and should include the your name and title, organization name/address/telephone/fax/and e-mail address. The Solicitation will be issued after June 22, 2002 and will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunity website (www.fedbizops.gov). It is the responsibility of the party downloading the Solicitation to ensure that it has bee received in its entirety, and USAID bears no responsibility for data errors resulting from the transmission or conversion process. USAID WILL NOT PROVIDE HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION. Any amendments to the solicitation will also be posted on the website. All interested should check the website regularly.
