Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), has a requirement for a Mass Spectrometer required to analyze polyolefin polymers in an on-going effort to create absolute molecular mass distribution Standard Reference Materials.***The mass spectrometer must be of the time-of-flight variety, must be equipped with a matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization ion source, and must have a heated sample stage. The competitive Request for Proposal (RFP), specifications, RFP amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at HTTP://WWW.FEDBIZOPS.GOV/ under RFP number SB1341-02-R-0039.***The RFP is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about June 25, 2002, and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site.***Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the RFP in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. No written solicitation document is available, telephone requests shall not be honored, and no bidders list shall be maintained. Potential offerors are requested to direct all questions via e-mail to Carol.Wood@NIST.Gov.***The period of performance shall be 140 days from the date of award.***Delivery shall be FOB DESTINATION.***The NAICS code for this requirement is 334516 with a size standard of 500 employees. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business. See Numbered Note 1.
