Description

This project consists of refurbishing the existing 4160V, 400Hz Main Distribution Switchgear located in Bldg 5224 at Dyess AFB, TX. Work may include but is not necessarily limited to: 1) providing two new solid state 400Hz Power Supplies to replace two existing 400Hz Motor-Generators, 2) providing new 480V, 60Hz circuits feeding the new Solid State Power Supplies and new 575V, 400Hz circuits feeding the 400Hz Main Distribution Switchgear, 3) providing five new outdoor weatherproof 400Hz Sub-Distribution Switchgear, 4) providing new 5Kv, 3-phase cable between the 400Hz Main Distribution Switchgear and each of the five Sub-Distribution Switchgear, 5) providing new 120/208V & 277/480V, 60Hz Distribution Panels, dry type transformers, safety switches and circuits to replace the existing devices at each of the five Electrical Distribution Stations and 6) providing twenty-one new flexible aircraft power cords and aircraft connectors. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated for this acquisition. The estimated project magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This procurement is unrestricted and open to both large and small business. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235950 with a small business size standard of $11.5 million. The successful contractor will be selected using Past Performance Tradeoff procedures, resulting in the Best Value to the government. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 25 Jun 2002 on Federal Business Opportunities (EPS) at www.eps.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this website frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. You will need the viewers for Microsoft Word (.doc), MaxView (.svd), and Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) to be able to view the solicitation documents. These viewers can be downloaded off of the EPS website. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. A site visit is scheduled for 10 July 02 at 9:30 AM CDT.
