This notice amends/corrects Synopsis F34601-02-Q-54625. NSN: 2945-01-479-5356NZ; P/N: 4084916; QTY: 20; U/I: EA; Size/Dimensions: 10 inches X 3 inches diameter filter bowl assy, 3 inch diameter head. Approximately 5 lbs. FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: Mounts to engine gearbox assy. Filters solid contaminants from oil to provide clean lubrication to engine bearings and Components. Delivery: Tinker AFB, OK. Anticipated solicitation issue date: 9APR02. Anticipated award date: 10JUN02. A firm-fixed price purchase order is anticipated. TO: Pratt and Whitney, East Hartford, CT TO: Pall Aeropower, Clearwater, FL. Reference AFMCFARs 5309.206-1(e)(1), the following notes apply to the procurement: Note A, Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Note B, The qualification requirement for this item were established prior to 19Oct84 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(a) do not apply. NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or Potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program manager or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor Concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict Confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate In the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. No telephone solicitation requests will be accepted. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards.
