Description
This is a Sole Source Repair requirement to Mechanical Technology Incorporated. It is for the repair of the Portable Balancing System, PBS-4100. This is a Basic year and 4 Option years Requirements contract. The following items are required NSNs and P/Ns for this effort: NSN 6635-01-431-5283, 6635-01-357-6647, 5996-01-431-4624 and 5996-01-431-2547 and the P/Ns for the Accessory Kit 8900-4000-4006,4007A&B,4008 and 4010. The government does not possess any drawings or tech data for this effort. Solicitation will be issued to a limited number of qualified sources. Destination: Robins AFB GA 31098. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. See WEB page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Justification: 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C) (1), Only One or a Limited number of Responsible Sources, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and or to communicate concerns, if any concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or the contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentially as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals in the source selection process.
