Description
NA Conduct pre-placement condition surveys and placement of approximately 250,000 cubic yards of sand on the beach in the City of Cape May, NJ and at the US Coast Guard Training Base. The borrow area is from 5,000 to 10,000 feet offshore. There will be 3 op tions to for the placement of approximately 50,000 cubic yards of sand each. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) documents will be available on the Internet web page on or about 2 July 2002. Hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests shall be accepted. Contractors shall download this IFB (including drawings) and all amendments (including drawings) from the Internet web page at the following address https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp on or after the issue date of the IFB. The official media of distribution for the IFB is the INTERNET WEB PAGE. All required software to download the solicitation documents can be downloaded from the web page under ?Viewers?. All amendments to this IFB will be posted to the Internet we b page at the above address. Hard copies of the amendments will not be furnished. It is the contractor?s responsibility to monitor the Internet web page for the IFB documents and all amendments. Interested contractors must register on the Internet web p age. If any of the contractor?s information changes during the advertisement period, contractors are responsible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet web page. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause delay in receiving no tification of the IFB and Amendments. Bidders are responsible for printing paper copies of the IFB including any drawings. The bid opening will be held on or about 1 August 2002. This procurement is Unrestricted. Liquidated damages will be specified The NAICS Code is 234990 with a size standard of $17.0 million. The estimated range of the project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 and bonding is required. Affirmative action to insure equal employment opportunity is applicable to the resulting contrac t. In order to be eligible to receive an award from this solicitation, you must be registered in the DODs Central Contractor Registration database as required by DFARS 204.7300 and comply with VETS-100 annual reporting as required by FAR 22.1310(b). Ins tructions will be included in the Solicitation. Award will be made as a whole to one bidder.
