NA This FedBizOps announcement is a notice that TriCare Region 6, 7, & 8 which includes all military Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF's) in the states of Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Colorado, Arizona, Kansas, Missouri, Idaho, Oklahoma, New Mexico, North Dako ta, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming are in the standardization process for the product line Medical/Surgical Patient Warming-Forced air patient warming units and disposables to include upper body blanket, lower body blanket, full body blanket, torso blanket, pediatric blanket, cath lab blanket and sterile blanket. Also, Blood/fluid warming units (that maintain a rate of KVO through 30L/hr) and disposables to include standard flow, high flow and pressure infusion systems used to ad minister fluids from a container to a patient?s vascular system through a needle or catheter inserted into a vein. The intent of the standardization program is to establish regionally preferred sources for hospital supply items to standardize purchasing of products for these MTF's. Clinical Product Teams (CPT) will evaluate this product line. Teams are composed of physicians, nurses and clinicians who have expertise and knowledge of the products. They will review and technically evaluate any samples submitt ed. TriCare Region 6, 7 and 8 deems the CPT members to be medical experts. Therefore, they are qualified to determine which products are acceptable. Companies interested in having their items evaluated for possible inclusion in the standardization process should carefully review the item requirements. For Fluid warmers they are as follows 1.) Effective warming 2.) Various flow ranges from KVO to high-end safe levels for fluid administration 3.) Compatible with blood product warming 4.) Integrates with exist ing IV fluid paths and connectors. 5.) Safety alarms 6.) Ease of use 7.) 110v power available. 8.) Low maintenance requirement. 9.) Mountable on standard IV pole. 10.) The supplier has an extended product line 11.) The supplier can provide in-service train ing as necessary. 12.) The supplier can provide and assist in a plan of conversion as needed. Minimum requirements for Forced Air Warming units are as follows 1.) Effective warming 2.) Safety alarms 3.) 110v power. 4.) Blankets compatible with all brands o f heating units 5.) Durable disposable blankets. 6.) Various blanket applications. 7.) Full blanket inflation with manipulation 8.) Low maintenance. 9) Ease of use. 10.) The supplier has an extended product line 11.) The supplier can provide in-service tra ining as necessary 12.) The supplier can provide and assist in a plan of conversion as needed. This is not a Request for Proposal; the purpose of the sources sought notice is to seek commercial sources that will meet the US Government requirements. Supplie rs must be Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) holders and will be required to provide clinical samples at no cost to the government. If your company currently holds a DAPA for this Medical/Surgical Product Line, your company is eligible to participa te in the standardization process. If your company is not a current DAPA holder for this product line, you are still eligible to participate in the standardization process for these regions by contacting the Defense Support Center-Philadelphia (DSCP). Plea se contact the DAPA contracting officer, Mr. Lou Jennings at (215) 737-2125 for assistance. Your company can be considered for standardization once DAPA paperwork is pending at DSCP. Distribution of this product will be accomplished through our regional pr ime vendor (Allegiance) consistent with the DAPA. After you have notified the Tri-service Regional Business Office (TRBO) that your company wishes to participate, and that your DAPA application is pending with DSCP, your company will be notified prior to t he start of the standardization process for this Product Line. If your company can provide any of these items, please forward the product descriptions and any c orresponding product literature to: TRICARE Regional Business Office, Suite 315 7800 IH 10 West, San Antonio, TX. 78230. Please include a cover letter identifying a point of contact in case we have any questions regarding the product. If the CPT recommends a company, the Tri-service Regional Business Office may request sales data. This information will be treated as proprietary and not releasable.
