Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, Point Mugu, CA plans to procure as other than full and open competition from Litton Systems, Inc., Guidance and Control Systems Division, Woodland Hills, CA, 177 man months of engineering technical services and contractor field services to various fleet and shore activities, instruction and training for installation, operation and maintenance of H-60 navigational computers. The services to be provided, impact operational readiness and flight safety of the SH-60F aircraft. The required services provide support and manufacturing information addressing maintenance and updating of the computer systems, which may arise on the computer hardware, software and associated support equipment, that only the original equipment manufacturer is capable of providing. Access to and understanding of the technical database for specific equipment is essential. Litton Systems, Inc. designed and developed and possesses the proprietary data for the H-60, and specific technical knowledge and expertise on all series and modifications to the equipment. The anticipated period of performance is 1 Nov 2002 through 30 Sep 2003; option period one - 1 Oct 2003 through 30 Sep 2004; option period two - 01 Oct 2004 through 30 Sept 2005; option period three - 01 Oct 2005 through 30 Sep 2006; option period four - 01 Oct 2006 through 30 Sep 2007.
