Description

This project is a DESIGN/BUILD being solicited UNRESTRICTED. The NAICS Code is 233320. The scope of the work includes the design and construction of a proposed addition and alterations to the existing Chapel Center, Building 3610 at Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D.C., and incidental related work to provide complete and useable facilities. The main Chapel, originally construction circa 1974, will provide the USAF 11th Chaplain Services with an updated and improved facility to serve as the main chapel. This project will preserve the historic integrity of the Chapel Cener and the Bolling Air Force Base, ensuring compatatibility with the adjacent facilities. Major components of the Chapel Center Addition/Alteration include upgrades to the existing facility's exterior envelope, a new environmentally controlled mechanical system, additional electrical and data communuication system receptacles and outlets, fire protection systems, new interior finishes, as ell as sloped metal roof system, expansion of the existing activity area with a new commercial kitchen and storage areas, reconfiguration of the administration areas and existing toilets, and a new baptistery. The entire facility, including parking areas and site access to the building, shall be barrier free in accordance with UFAS and ADAAG.
