- The Naval Sea Systems Command is surveying the market via this communication to request information relative to System/Personnel Performance Monitoring, Embedded Training, and Operational Assessment. Naval Sea Systems Command, PMS 430 manages the Navy?s Performance Monitoring, Training and Assessment Program and is requesting interested industry participation to provide informational material for off-the-shelf technologies and/or technologies that are either in development or could be fielded in the next 24 months. It is envisioned that these technologies when integrated with Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT) systems could provide new or enhanced capabilities in the areas of system/personnel performance monitoring, embedded training, and operational assessment. Areas for technology enhancement could include but are not limited to:  Scenario generation and co ntrol software  Sensor/weapon system stimulation and simulation  Afloat Staff Training  Battle Group training  Joint and Naval Training  At Sea communication connectivity  Sensor/weapon system and ordnance emulation  Ship handling and navigation training  Lookout training  Engineering and Damage Control emulators  Force Protection Training (e.g., situational awareness) Industry is advised that development of concepts and necessary funding may not be immediately forth coming. Proposed concepts from industry will be identified to the operational fleets for requirement determination. In your information submittal it is requested that Total Ownership Costs of concepts be identified. Interested parties are invited to attend PMS430 Industry Day. During Industry Day PMS430 will provide an overview of its current program activities. Industry Day will be July 10, 2002 from 0900 ? 1200 at Naval Sea Warfare Center (NSWC), Combat Direction Systems Activity (CDSA), on the Dam Neck Naval Facility, located at: NSWC, CDSA, DN 1922 Regulus Avenue Hopper Hall Virginia Beach, VA 23461-2097 Industry Representatives are requested to FAX visit requests to CDSA Dam Neck at 757/492 -7242 (voice confirmation: 492-7327) by 5 July. Please indicate that the purpose of the visit request is for 'PMS430 Industry Day'. Also note that the visit requests should be provided NLT 5 July for a visitor lists to be provided to the base pass office to facilitate entry onto the base. The base pass office is at the front gate entrance on the right. Anticipate a minimum of 15-20 minute delay to pick up your vehicle pass and complete gate security checks. Each attendee will be expected to pay a $5 conference fee to cover nominal refreshment costs at check-in.
