Description
The Navy is developing performance-based specifications (PBS) for Tactical Integrated Bridge System and information is needed on systems that are currently available or under development. This is not a solicitation and the Navy makes no representation that it will purchase any of the technology it learns about from this market survey or otherwise pay for the information obtained. The Navy is particularly interested in systems with the following characteristics: (1) Complies with NATO standards regarding electronic charts and the processing of classified data, (2) Interfaces seamlessly with the Italian National Coastal Surveillance System and Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS) and similar systems worldwide, (3) Scalable for use on small craft as well as large ships, (4) Open architecture, (5) Hardware independent, (6) Low cost tech insertion/tech refresh capability, (7) Upgr ade path to incorporate latest Human Systems Integration (HSI) and Integrated Command Environment (ICE) research findings at www.manningaffordability.com., (8) Complies with software safety standards promulgated by Underwriters Laboratories www.ul.com/pscs/ansi.html , or other internationally recognized public safety organization.
