Description

This project involves construction/reconstruction activities on Forest Road 1099 on the Applegate Ranger District of the Rogue River National Forest. It includes all labor, equipment, materials supplies, supervision and incidentals necessary to complete the following: Base item and three option items. The Base Item includes construction/reconstruction of road ditch line, reconditioning of roadbed, clearing, disposal of weed contaminated soils, removal and disposal of existing corrugated metal culverts, installation of corrugated metal pipe, placement of rock headwalls, and riprap energy dissipaters, and production and placement of aggregate surfacing on road and in stockpile; Option Item 1 includes survey, site investigation, design and installation of a fish passage structure under Road 1099 along with removal and disposal of an existing corrugated metal pipe arch; Option Item 2 includes construction/reconstruction of road ditch line, reconditioning of roadbed, hauling and placing a cushion material over existing roadbed, construction of drain dips and production and placement of aggregate surfacing; Option Item 3 includes construction/reconstruction of paved bridge approaches, gabions, removal of existing asphalt, and production and placement of aggregate surfacing. Price Range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This procurement is not set aside for Small Business concerns. Solicitation will be available on FedBizOps O/A July 30, 2002. Bid bond required. Performance and payment bonds are required before starting work. Hard copies of solicitation and drawings will not be available.
