Description: Provide labor, material, and equipment to stabilize an eroding section of the Green River, near Route 71, Alford, MA. The major items of work include constructing approximately 86 linear feet of timber bin wall (6 feet high), installing approximately 330 tons of 24 inch and 36 inch rock riprap, temporarily diverting the Green River by excavating an earthen diversion channel, placing about 440 cubic yards of earthfill, and seeding. A site visit to view the area of repair will be held on 12 July 2002 and further information will be available in the solicitation. The Solicitation for this work will be available for download on or around the 27th of June 2002.
