Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Andeen-Hagerling, Inc. of Cleveland, OH for the purchase of (3) three Andeen-Hagerling 1100 capacitance standard frames and (12) twelve Andeen-Hagerling 11A fused-silica capacitance standards.***Sole source determination is based on the need for these standards and frames to be completely compatible and interchangeable with NIST's existing Andeen-Hagerling, Inc. capacitance standard frames and fused-silica capacitance standards. In addition, Andeen-Hagerling, Inc is the sole manufacturer of standards & frames that meet the capacitance standards required by NIST.***Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, MD, and is required within 270 days after receipt of order.***The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334414, and the size standard is 500 employees.***No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by June 25, 2002. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
